Pictaculous Color Palette Generator
I found this wonderful color picking tool at notcot today. Those smart guys over at mailchimp created an online tool that generates a color palette from any photo that you upload. I tested with a bunch of images and was happy with the results. It does not show you all the colors used, but seems to average the most common colors and produces the palette from that. A great tool for brainstorming a new project or color matching a project to your images. You can do the same thing in photoshop by running the cutout effect under the artistic filter, and you can pick how many colors you want to reduce the image to.
